Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have availability to take on new students?

We do have availability to take on new students. We are constantly expanding our team our instructors to ensure that we can meet the current demand for training.

We usually aim to have you booked in the diary within three weeks of receiving your application.

Can I speak to an instructor about my training needs?

You can arrange for a 15 min training consultation with one of our instructors to discuss your needs in more detail.

Please note that we will still need you to complete our online application so we can refer you to an instructor in your local area who will be able to better assist you and setup the consultation.

Should I choose automatic or manual lessons?

You can choose to take either manual or automatic driving lessons with us. We can openly offer automatic training in your own vehicle. We have trainers that specialise in both vehicle types, however, there are a few differences that you should be aware of before making a decision.

Automatic clients should note that if they take their test in an automatic vehicle this will restrict them to driving only automatic vehicles once qualified. Manual clients who take a manual test can choose whether they want to drive either a manual or automatic car after passing.

The government has recently announced their transition plans to net zero by 2030 and is promoting the use of electric vehicles in a bid to achieve this, which means that automatic vehicles will become more popular over the next decade.

If you are unsure what vehicle is right for you, why not get in touch and speak to someone from the team.

Do you take on students from other driving schools?

Yes we accept students from other driving schools, transferring trainers part way through your training can seem like a daunting task but please don’t worry, sometimes getting a fresh set of eyes on your current driving standards is a good way to check in on your overall progress.

If you are undecided, you might want to take advantage of booking up a 2 hour starter/assessment lesson with one of our instructors before deciding to go with us.

We also offer standalone practical mock testing services for our own customers, or those from another school, or those who are receiving private practice at home.

Get in touch with the team today to discuss your needs in more detail.

Do you offer intensive training courses?

Intensive training courses are not for everyone and usually take a lot of pre planning to organise.

Our intensive courses are designed for those with significant previous experience behind the wheel. Perhaps you live outside of the area and have secured a test date at our local test centre. Or perhaps, you work full time and have to take annual leave off work to complete your lessons.

If you have not got a test booked we will be unable to book you in for an intensive course. If you are local (and/or don’t have a test booked up) but would like to pass as quickly as possible then you should arrange to speak to your trainer.

Our intensive courses are charged at a much higher hourly rate than our standard lessons due to the impact these training sessions have on our instructors general availability and the effects on our other students who might already have lessons booked.

Whats the cheapest way to get my lessons with you?

The cheapest way to get your lessons with us is to purchase a prepaid block of hours. We offer discounts for prepaid lessons up to 10% off for larger blocks.

We usually recommend paying for your first lesson with us as a one off payment before deciding whether the instructor and training vehicle is the right match for you and your needs before committing to a block booking payment.
